The Best Date Night Movie

Being film buffs, I decided to make a movie date night with my boyfriend recently. We decided to watch Lost In Translation on our direct.tv instead of going out to the theaters. The movie involves two Americans in Japan, played by Bill Murray and Scarlet Johanson. The characters feel out of place there, and end up meeting each other through chance and begin a friendship. It makes for a subtle but powerful date night movie because of the growing romantic tension between the two.

Both characters are married to other people but find a common thread and it leads them on adventure within the city. I enjoy the movie for the spectacular film style and how subtle the dialog is because it leaves a lot unsaid. My boyfriend loved it because he’s a Bill Murray fan and liked seeing him in a more serious role. Both of us really liked the movie and found it to be a really good date night movie. We also really loved the gorgeous scenery of the different areas in Japan and the soundtrack was very well done.
