Solving an Emergency Situation Online

I just bought a rat a few weeks ago. I figured since I’d always loved them growing up I would still enjoy having one around as a pet. What I didn’t realize before I brought the little guy home was that I really didn’t know much about keeping rats as pets. When I was little, my mom helped out a lot more than I had previously though. So after setting him up in his new home, I hopped online with my hughes net satellite internet connection to do a little digging around. I found so many good websites dedicated solely to rats! I think I must have spend half the day reading through them- and still wasn’t completely done. I’m really glad that I put a few of them under my favorites because about a week after I brought my new pet rat home I noticed that it looked like he had blood streaking down his face underneath his eyes. I started panicking thinking that something was wrong with him. So, I pulled up a couple of the online resources that I had saved and skimmed though the information again. Luckily for both of us I found out that it was entirely normal for him to have a reddish colored discharge around his eyes and nose periodically. I was really relieved to find out that nothing was wrong with him.
