A Camping Vacation

My husband and I have a camper at a campground in Butler, Pennsylvania. Last year we decided to take a vacation and stay in our camper. After we packed some clothes, we set our ADT wireless security systems and left for our camper.

Once we got to our camp, we opened the camper awning sat on the deck. We talked about different things we wanted to do that week. The first day we decided we would go swimming at the campground’s pool. We had such a good time playing water games and laying in the sun.

The next morning, when we got up, we decided to go to Sand Castle. Sand Castle is a water park in Pittsburgh. We walked on the boardwalk and did some shopping until it got a little warmer. Once the temperature rose, we went on the water slides. Even though we are not young, we love the water slides. After the slides we decided to float in the lazy river. After lunch we decided to check out the wave pool. The wave pool was really fun. We had a great afternoon jumping the waves and acting like we were teenagers.

The next day we decided to stay at the campground. Even though our camper has a full kitchen, we decided to build a campfire and cook over it. This was actually very fun. After breakfast we went swimming. We were the only people in the pool that day. It was really fun to have such a big pool all to ourselves. After a long day of swimming we decided to cook our supper over the camp fire.

The next day we decided to go to Living Treasures. Living Treasures is a small zoo. We enjoyed visiting all the animals. My husband got to feed some bears. My favorite part of the zoo was the baby tigers. They were so cute and cuddly looking.

The rest of the week we spent hanging around the campground. It was so nice to get to spend so much alone time with my husband. This was one of my favorite vacations.I had always wanted to visit St Louis. I have heard so many good things about it that I suggested my family and I go there for vacation this year. I told them of all the things we would be doing and they agreed to go.

It’s a long drive, so I suggested we all get to bed early the night before we left. Nobody could sleep though because we were all so excited about our trip. So we played board games until everyone felt tired enough to sleep.

Rising early the next morning our excitement hadn’t waned at all. We loaded up the van and I set the home security system that we recently had installed, and away we went. We sang songs for a while and made the occasional bathroom stop along the way. In no time at all we were checking into our hotel in St Louis.

We decided to do a little souvenir shopping and then go swimming in the large pool at the hotel. It was an outdoor pool and it was gorgeous. We had a great time swimming and splashing each other for a couple of hours. Then we decided it was time to eat. We went down by the river and ate at an old fashioned family restaurant.

The next day we went to the zoo. I’ve been to a lot of zoos before, but this was by far the best I had ever been to. They charged nothing to get in, so it wasn’t bad paying a little extra for souvenirs or beverages. And they had every kind of animal I could think of. I could have spent another two days in that zoo. It was really wonderful.

We decided to ride the train around town, which was one of their forms of public transportation. We got to see the whole city. The bad parts were a little scary, but we survived. The worst part was when the Cardinals game ended and thousands of fans rushed onto the train. I thought we were being attacked. But it was a great trip overall.
