Mail ID with Google apps and configure in Thunderbird
It is a old story being talked about again here . Google allows you to setup mails with the domain of your choice. You can now have an email id like mail@Yourdomain.com . If you are skeptical about how easy it is, don’t worry, Google has made it too easy for their clients. A domain name can cost you anywhere between $1 - $15 depending on the TLD chosen and that will be the only expense to be incurred to setup a personal mail address. In cases where there exists no domain and a new domain has to be setup, Google offers domain registration service at $10/year. Godaddy can offer better deals when it comes to domain registration with coupons at about $6.99/year. Once you sign up with google apps service for business solutions, you can avail other services along with personal domain emails. My personal experience with custom domain emails have been really good and I have hardly had any issues with email sending and reception.
